SANTA FE COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A truck carrying hydrogen peroxide spilled and caught fire, the Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) said in a release. It happened on Wednesday, July 17.
According to the release, Ski Santa Fe reported to SFNF about the fire. SFNF fire resources and the Santa Fe Fire Department responded while a Hazmat team and the New Mexico Environment Department were alerted. The spill and fire were contained.
Work is being done in that area, and they're taking soil samples to check for any hazardous issues. Debris removal is referred to the dumpsters on Hyde Park Road. Any soil that is excavated will be repaired.
